Classes

 

Come and join us on one of our very popular and informal  cupcake decorating classes which are held in our cake studio just next door to the shop for groups up to 12.  Our aim is to give you the confidence to learn how to make beautifully decorated cupcakes, and leave with a box of 12 to be proud of.

For the more experienced cake maker our advanced cupcake class, and other themed cupcake decorating  classes will extend on the skills you may already have, or have learned previously in the beginners class.

All equipment and packaging is provided, just bring yourself.

The beginners class is a great introduction to cupcake decorating, where you learn to use easy to handle equipment which produces great results to give your cakes a real ‘wow’ factor.

In the class you will learn:

–  To make decorations of your choice and chosen colours, using an array of equiptment including       moulds, cutters and basic handmade decorations.

– Buttercream piping techniques  using various nozzles and the learning how to make the petal          piped rose.

The advanced class focused on refining the techniques learned in the beginners class including:

–   How to dome cupcakes for a smooth profesional finish

–   Embossing and stenciling techniques

–   How to make hand made sugar roses

Our Themed Cupcake Decorating classes involve a mixture of techniques from both of the above classes but are broken down into a step by step method that we all do together. Because of this they are suitiable for both beginners and the more advanced cake decorators.

Prices range from £35- £40 per person

A £15 deposit pp will secure your place, there are only 8-12 places per class, so booking in advance is advised to avoid disappointment. If you are redeeming a gift voucher for the total cost of the class, this will act as the deposit if you could drop it into the shop or post it to us.

We aim to do at least 1 beginners class and 1 advanced class every month (This may not be possible during busy times, wedding Season, Christmas etc).

Classes take place in one mini session and are approximately 3 ½ to 4 hours duration (when fully booked).

48 hours notice is required for cancellations

If you cancel within the required time a transfer of deposit or gift voucher will be offered. The deposit will be non refundable after this time.

In the unlikely event of a class being cancelled alternative dates will be offered, no cash refunds.

Under 16’s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Gift vouchers can be purchased in store and redeemed against classes.

Saturday January 24th, beginners class £35pp 1pm
