Ruth was absolutely fantastic throughout our booking with her for our wedding. Always so professional and patient with me when I changed my mind on the design several times! Flawless service and honestly the best cake we had ever tasted. We even have the top tier still in our freezer ready for our 1st anniversary. Our guests also commented on how beautiful it was and how delicious each flavour was. We also got cookie favours for our day guests which were so yummy too! We found Ruth through Instagram and were thrilled when she told us she was available to make a cake for our wedding day. We sent her a rough idea of what we wanted and she drew up a sketch of the final product and it was exactly what we asked for! Not only was she super friendly, her response time was great too! Ruth made our wedding cake and it was perfect! We went for a semi-naked cake with three flavours and it was delicious. We have some left over stored in the freezer too, ready to enjoy at a later date. Daniella K

Amazing cake for our big day!
Ruth at Southwell Cakery is amazing, our wedding cake was perfect and the guests couldn’t get enough! It lasted for ages after the big day too. The communication was brilliant throughout (even in the midst of a pandemic!) and it was easy to order samples - I recommend the red velvet and chocolate orange - but there were many more flavours to choose from. Over the moon with our wedding cake. We had a fabulous experience using Southwell Cakery as our wedding cake supplier right from the initial consultation to the big day. Ruth was very helpful and really took on board what we wanted for our special cake. We were offered a wide range of flavours to choose from - in fact the only issue we had was choosing which ones we wanted for our 3-tier cake as they are all so delicious.
We were blown away when we saw the cake on our wedding day - it was so beautiful and everyone commented on how delicious it was. Needless to say, we didn't really have chance to freeze any of it as every last crumb was devoured. Thank you Southwell Cakery for helping to make our day so special. Louisa. B

Scrumptious and effortless. Ruth made the cake and cookie favours for our wedding. We had a hard decision of which 3 flavours for the cake as all the samples that we tried were delicious. The cakes Ruth creates are a work of art and taste amazing. The cookies were incredible too and all our guests loved them. The communication throughout was brilliant, any queries we had were responded to quickly and it was a joy to work with Ruth.
